1 Page 9, between lines 23 and 24, insert:

2 “Sec. 9. Section 32-2911, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to

3 read:

4 32-2911. Persons and acts not affected by chapter

5 This chapter does not prevent:

6 1. The practice of any other method, system or science of healing by a

7 person who is licensed pursuant to the laws of this state if that person is

8 acting within the scope of that license.

9 2. The practice by homeopathic physicians discharging their duties

10 while members of the armed forces of the United States or other federal

11 agencies.

12 3. A person from administering a lawful domestic or family remedy,

13 health food or health food supplement to that person's immediate family

14 members.

15 4. A person from administering over-the-counter homeopathic remedies

16 in the course of providing medical assistance in an emergency.

17 5. The practice of any of the healing arts offered by this state's

18 Indian tribes.

19 6. The practice of religion, treatment by prayer or the laying on of

20 hands as a religious rite or ordinance.

21 7. Any act competently performed by a physician assistant that is

22 within the scope of that person's duties.

23 8. A physician licensed in any state, district or territory of the

24 United States from infrequently consulting with a person licensed under this

25 chapter or acting pursuant to an invitation by a legitimate sponsor to visit

26 this state to promote professional education through lectures, clinics or

27 demonstrations if that visiting physician does not open an office, meet with

28 patients or receive calls relating to the practice of homeopathic medicine

29 outside of the sponsoring institution's facilities and programs.

1 9. The independent practice of acupuncture as a traditional Asian

2 healing art.

3 10. THE PRACTICE OF PROVIDING TREATMENT OF THE SPIRITUAL VITAL FORCE

4 IN ACCORDANCE WITH HAHNEMANIAN PRINCIPLES THROUGH THE USE OF REMEDIES THAT

5 ARE DILUTED BEYOND THE CONCENTRATION OF SUBSTANCES IN DRINKING WATER AND

6 PREPARED IN THE MANNER DESCRIBED IN THE HOMEOPATHIC PHARMACOPOEIA OF THE

7 UNITED STATES.”
